Friday was lovely. It was busy, which is fine too. My heart feels not quite as badly cracked. I gave myself a good talking-to while I worked: remembering all the good times and conversations that our family had with the Culps. It has been a week since I lost Orange Cat. I know that’s not … Continue reading

Spring is in the air!
What a relief that the atmosphere now has the smell of Spring. Yes, we’ll have rain and mud to complain about, but it feels like the long winter is coming to an end. Gary and I are convalescing, but we seem to have “beaten” the flu and bronchitis into submission. It takes awhile to get … Continue reading
Heading into the weekend …
Yesterday was a phenomenal day … Shelly and I ran away to Prince George just for retail therapy. She had a list, I had a list, and away we went. We rocked quite a few stops: breakfast at Tim Horton’s, drop off donations at SPCA, shop for pet supplies at two big stores, quick trip … Continue reading
“Start in any corner … “
That’s what my friends’ mom used to tell her daughters, when the subject of housework or downsizing came up. Adele brought this to my attention (sorry if I misquoted at ALL) in recent weeks. The beat goes on…
I tried to come up with a less lame title, but gave you that. I took the Christmas tree down yesterday; there was a time that I saved that work for January 1st or 2nd. We have a small house and it seems like the tree, however charming, is in the way. I appreciated Gary obtaining … Continue reading
Quiet start to the week …
The rest of the week will bring change, but it is all fun and grand. Shelly visited just overnight on Sunday … we were doing a vehicle switch to facilitate her move from Calgary to northern Alberta for her most excellent next adventure. Already, the boarding and the grooming has picked up for folks on … Continue reading
